August Favourites

These are my August Favourites, I think August has flown by.

The couple of AKA cosmetic's that are my favourites are the lipstick in Entice and nail polish in Risky I'm not really going into much detail as I'm doing a review of them in the next couple days but I really like the colours and pigmentation.

Beauty UK lipstick In The Buff its a pink coral that's perfect for summer, it's a beautiful colour, I absolutely loved it and it's very moisturising and cheap.

MAC eyeshadow in Satin Taupe, this is my first MAC eyeshadow and it's a beautiful brown, really pigmented and long lasting.

Sleek Blush in Suede it's a very natural peachy blush, long lasting and pigmented.

NO7 Cheek Tint in Peach Silk, I love cream blushes for summer, its very creamy and long lasting.

MUA Mosaic Blush-English Rose, a pinky shimmery colour which is great for summer but I like wearing it anytime, it's cheap and very pigmented.

Maybelline Quad in Glamour Browns, it's a two in one you can wear golds or browns, I love wearing gold for summer, it's shimmery and has good pigmentation.

Technic-Highlights I love wearing highlight and this is a dupe for Benefit High Beam, it's a pinky/shimmery white colour and is very easy to blend and very cheap.

I thought I would do random favourites that are not beauty related as well to make it a little different.

Random Favourites:
Food- Crumpets and Cheese Strings.
Songs-Little Mix-Wings and Lawson-Taking Over Me&When She Was Mine.

Hope you enjoyed, what are your August favourites, leave a comment below.

Simple & Natural Back To School Makeup Look

I think this the perfect look for school it's quick and easy and looks very natural. When I was at school you weren't supposed to wear much makeup so this is why have done this look.

All the products you need: Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation this is perfect because it stays on most of the day, N07 Brightening Eye Base this helps for under you eyes to make you more awake, Collection Lasting Perfection Concealer to hid spots and redness, Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder sets your makeup and lasts all day, Maybelline Quad in Glamour Browns, Bourjois Kohl & Contour Pencil Eyeliner-Black, Rimmel London Eyebrow Pencil, Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Mascara, Natural Collection Blush-Peach Melba and 17 Lipstick-Barely Blush.

First apply your foundation, brightening eye base, concealer and powder.

For the eyes its simple apply the 2nd shade from the quad all over the lid and 1st shade as the highlight- this just a gold look that will brighten up your eyes, apply the pencil eyeliner in the tight line and apply mascara.

Then lightly fill in your eyebrows just to define your face more.

Apply the peach melba blush to the cheeks.

Finally apply barely blush to the lips its a soft pink nothing that's too much and will go with any sort of look and very moisturising.
I hope you enjoy this look and have a nice time when you go back to school.

Guest Blog Post

I thought I would do something different, my blog is mainly makeup because that's the aspect of beauty I love most, so I've got a blog post that is completely different to what I usually do and I hope you enjoy it.

Two of the first things people usually  notice when they see you for the first time is your skin and your hair. As women (and men) we invest a lot of time and money into ensuring that we look our best. Skincare can cost an absolute fortune; there are all the different cleansers, toners, serums, creams, lotions, spa treatments and tools involved in attempting to reach the ideal standard of skincare, the same is true for looking after our hair.
One component of a good skincare and hair care routine that is often overlooked is our nutritional status. A good, balanced and adequate diet plays a vital role in the condition of our skin and hair. There is a definite place for good products but the power of diet is often underestimated.
There is a misconception that a healthy diet requires you to make sacrifices and eat food that tastes terrible. This is not true. A healthy diet is one that includes ALL the food groups in moderation and although some sacrifice is required, it is easy to replace ‘junk food’ with healthier and tasty options.
Below are a few easy to follow tips, tricks and recipes to help you achieve flawless skin and luscious hair by tweaking your diet.
Bottled Water·         WATER. This is the easiest and most common tip around. Without boring you all with the detail, water is essential for cell function and renewal. So drink up!!
·         POWER WATER. Water on its own may not appeal to everyone. My adding lemons, berries or cucumber to water not only do you improve the flavour of the water you also add antioxidant to the water, which is magic for your skin.
·         ANTI-OXIDANTS. These are miracle workers for your skin; they help improve skin texture, improve elasticity and prevent premature ageing!!  Food items to include: Berries, lemons, tomatoes, oranges, guavas, peppers and green tea.
Green Tea·         GREEN TEA. This is another common recommendation when it comes to healthy skin. Green tea is very high in anti-oxidants and also caffeine (a good replacement for coffee). 1 mug of brewed green tea a day, can improve not only your skin and hair but also your general health status. Try adding mint leaves, a lemon slice and a teaspoon of honey to your tea to supercharge your drink.
·         DARK VEG. This little fact I found very interesting. Plants make use of pigments to protect them from the sun (like a natural sun block) the darker the pigment the more protection it offers. So by including dark veg, you get even more anti-oxidants in your diet. Look for dark green, red  and blue products
·         DRY SKIN. If you suffer from dryness (both skin and scalp) include eggs, avocados and nuts to your meals.
·         SALMON is great if you are worried about wrinkles and dull skin.
·         USE SUNBLOCK.
·         LIMIT alcohol, coffee salt and junk food. (some sacrifice is needed) If you are a junk food addict, try decreasing the amount you eat slowly. Even a small change can help.
·         DIET. Include fresh fruit and veg with each meal. Again if you are not used to this, just add 1 item per meal initially and gradually work your way up.
·         NUTS.NUTS.NUTS. these little guys are the perfect snack!! They are high in healthy fats and protein. They are great for improving the hair strength and shine.
·         SUPPLEMENTS. In an ideal world we should be getting all our requirements from the food we eat. But sadly this is not the case. I take a multi-vitamin designed for young women and an anti-oxidant daily. Please consult with a professional before purchasing one though. There are so many on the market and not all of them are beneficial.

I hope that you found my post informative and interesting.

The lovely Beth from http://www.bethlovebeauty.com tagged me to do this tag, I really like doing tags so I thought I would do it.

1. Most Worn Nail Polish
Barry M in Coral, I really love wearing bright colours in summer and I really love Barry M nail polishes.

2. Most Worn Scent
Avon in Secret Fantasy I really love the smell and it's perfect for everyday.

3. Most Worn Hair Product
I couldn't just decide one because I use quite a few hair products. For shampoo and conditioner Herbal Essences Beautiful Ends it makes my hair really soft and protects my hair. Batiste Dry Shampoo I think most people likes it, if your having a bad hair day it instantly makes it look shiny.

4. Most Worn Bag
It's quite a simple a bag that I got ages ago from Primark but I absolutely love it and has a lot of space and it goes with everything.

5. Most Worn Shoes
I couldn't pick just one, so I've done one for daytime and one for nighttime. I always wear scandals in the daytime when its summer these are from Dorothy Perkins I got them last year. For nighttime these wedges from New Look I absolutely adore these.

No7 Cheek Tint in Peach Silk, it's a cream blush and I love cream blushes for summer, Accessorize Blush in Scandal this is a shimmery pink, Collection 2000 Shimmer Shade Way to Glow I just love this I wear it all the time but I think it's perfect for summer and NYC Bronzer Sunny, It's a matte bronzer and the right shade for me.

10. Most Worn Lip Product
These are all different lip products. I think Revlon Lip Butters and Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stains are perfect for summer they are moisturising and the Balm Stains are long lasting, the shade I have picked for the Revlon Lip Butter is Sweet Tart and the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain in Cherish. I've got the MUA lipstick in shade 16 Nectar which is an orangey/coral which is great for summer.

This is also my favourite mascara. Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Mascara it makes my eyelashes thicker and longer and doesn't clump.

Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain Review

I know I'm a little late on the band wagon for the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain but I thought I would still review it.

I have the shade Cherish which is a light pink, there is a variety of shades a berry colour, variety of pink shades and a nudey colour so it's suitable for everyone. They are all £7.99 which is a reasonable price and you can buy them from Boots or Superdrug.

They are supposed to be similar to the Clinque Chubby Sticks.

It's a pencil that turns up, its easy to apply to the lips.

It's very moisturising and has a glossy finish and has good colour pay off, the colour lasts for a long time the colour is very vibrant when applied then gently fades over time but still looks very nice so you don't need to worry if you get a dark colour.

This is great for people that have dry lips cause it's very moisturising and doesn't stick to dry patches and perfect for winter time.

Overall this is a great product and ill definitely be purchasing more shades.

What do you think to the Revlon Just Bitten Kissable Balm Stain, leave a comment below.

Tag Would You Rather?

I love doing tag post, I think it helps you get to know people and there fun.

1. Would you rather go out with messy hair and nice make up or nice hair and no make up?
I'd say messy hair and nice makeup, a lot of the time I don't do much with my hair and spend more time on my makeup.

2. Would you rather shave your eyebrows or have your eyelashes fall out?
I would have my eyelashes fall out you can always wear false eyelashes, if you had to draw your eyebrows on cause there shaved I think it will look worse.

3. Would you rather be forced to shop at only MAC or Sephora for the rest of your life?
This ones hard we don't have Sephora but I know it has a wide range of products and I love MAC so I think I will say MAC.

4. Would you rather wear the lipgloss/lipliner look or 80's perm?
Lipgloss/lipliner  defiantly, I would hate a perm.

5. Would you rather leave the house with an obvious foundation line or overdone blush?
Overdone blush.

6. Would you rather wear MC Hammer pants or Biker Shorts in public?
Biker shorts but I never wear either.

7. Would you rather have a bad, orange spray tan or weird tan lines that can't be covered?
I would have to say a weird tan line I wouldn't want to be orange.

8. Would you rather have a bad haircut or bad hair colour?
Bad hair cut you could fix it and make it look better if you have bad hair colour you can't do much.

9. Would you rather have YouTube or Twitter taken away forever?
I'd say YouTube I do love watching video's on YouTube but I go on Twitter a lot and love talking to new people.

10. Would you rather give up using make up brushes or mascara?
Make up brushes, you can still use your fingers to make your makeup look nice, my eyes look bald without mascara.

Hope you enjoy the tag.

I tag everyone to do this, comment or leave a blog post would love to see your answers.

Travel Makeup

Sorry for not blogging for the last couple of weeks but I'm back now and thought I would do a blog post on the makeup I took with me on holiday.

This is my makeup bag and the palette I took with me, my makeup bag doesn't look very big but it did fit a lot of products in it.

This was the palette that I took with me by Active I'm not sure where you can buy it from my sister gave it to me, these are shimmery shades so I wouldn't recommend it if you don't like shimmer, I love this palette because it has every shade you need to create different looks, I didn't use the lipstick/gloss in the palette but you could use it to complement the eye looks.

I didn't take too much but I think it's the perfect amount you need and there all different. Natural Collection Blushes in Peach Melba and Pink Cloud, Collection 2000 Shimmer Shade-Way to Glow, MUA Blush Shade 1, Rimmel London Blush Pink Rose, Collection 2000 Lasting Perfection Concealer, Rimmel London Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation, Rimmel London Stay Matte Pressed Powder, No7 Brightening Eye Base, L'oreal Paris Glam Shine Lipgloss Aqua Watermelon, Bourjois Kohl and Contour Black Eyeliner, Avon Kajaliner in Deep Turquoise, 17 Liquid Liner-Black, MUA Eyeshadow Shade 12, Rimmel London Scandal Eyes Mascara, Collection 2000 XXL Volume Sensation Mascara, Natural Collection Lipsticks Sand Castle which is a nude colour and Rose Bud a light purpley/pink, MUA Lipsticks Shade 13 is a red, everyone needs a red lipstick and Shade 16 Nectar is coral/orange, Revlon Lip Butter Sweet Tart is a bright pink, Rimmel London Kate Moss Lipsticks Shade 05 is a dark pink and 16 a light barbie pink.

Hope you like this post.

Hope everyone is having a nice holiday :)
