April Favourites

Hey Lovelies, I say most months but April has definitely flown by can't believe it's May tomorrow, so here's my favourites for the month.

Beauty Favourites

The Sleek Storm Palette, it has gold, beige, brown, pink, purple, blue, green and black shades so it's a great palette to suit all occasions and has lots of colour for you, I've been using the goldy brown shades, I always love goldy looks for Spring and Summer. The palette is very pigmented and long lasting and has matte and shimmery shades.

The NYC Sunny Bronzer, this is the perfect bronzer for people with fair skin like me and it's a nice bronzer, it's  completely matte with no shimmer and isn't a muddy brown. It's pigmented and long lasting and great for Spring and Summer. It's really inexpensive as well.

Accessorize Baked Blusher in Wowzer, it's a medium pink blush with lilac running through it. The blush is shimmery and it gives a gorgeous glow to the skin. It's very long lasting and pigmented.

Collection Shimmer Shade in Way To Glow, I like mixing all the colours together and it comes out as peachy orange colour and I then use the highlighter on top of my cheek bones, like it says in the name it is shimmery and gives you a nice glow. It is really pigmented and long lasting and inexpensive.

Maybelline Eyeshadow in Gold Diamonds, is a gold with purple undertones it's an absolutely gorgeous shade and I love it and have been wearing it a lot this month. It's really pigmented and it is shimmery and long lasting.

The Scandal Eyes Eyeshadow Stick in Bulletproof Beige as you can see it's a theme in this post I've been loving wearing golds and I've been wearing this under my lashline. It's long lasting, creamy and pigmented. Here's a full review here from a couple months ago.

MUA Lipstick in Shade 7, it's an orangey pink with shimmer but it's not that noticeable and is perfect for Spring, I mentioned it here in my top lipsticks for Spring. It's really inexpensive at only a £1, it's slightly moisturising and pigmented.

Beauty UK Lipstick In The Buff, is a bright dark pink, it's very pigmented and moisturising and have been wearing it a lot this month and is inexpensive and I also mentioned this in my top lipsticks for Spring.

As you can see they are very similar but MUA lipstick is slightly more orange and the Beauty UK is more pink.

Non-Beauty Favourites

Music- Glee-Outcast and  You Have More Friends Than You Know, these are original songs that Marley in Glee wrote and I really relate to the Outcast song, Jonas Brothers- Pom Poms, Calvin Harris and Ellie Goulding-I Need Your Love.

TV Programmes- I've been really loving the Glee storyline even though they have been quite sad, The Vampire Diaries I've been liking getting to know about the originals and finding about Hayley and how Elena has changed. Broadchurch It's been a great series and I didn't know who killed Danny till it was revealed on the last episode of the series. Awkward it's a great show about being a teenager, finding yourself, love and decisions.

Film- Safe Haven is great, it's by Nicholas Sparks and so you can guess it's about love and It was amazing and you should really go watch it.

Book- The Perks of Being a Wallflower, if you saw in a haul this month, I got this book and I read it all in a few days and I loved it, it is nearly exactly the same as the film, I'm not going into huge detail because I'm going to do a book review on it soon.

Food- Pot Noodles, for my dinner I've been eating pot noodles and haven't had them in ages but they are nice and chicken I've been having all sorts of meals with chicken.

What are your favourites for the month let me know.

Korres Gift Set Review

Hello Lovelies, sorry for not posting much, I've not been very well and had things on mind so I wasn't in the right mind set to blog but I am now and here's a review of a Korres gift set I won a couple months ago from the lovely Abby, a huge thank you to Abby and you should definitely go check out her blog.

In the set you get a Milk Proteins 3 in 1 Cleansing, Toning and Eye Makeup Removing Emulsion,  Evening Primrose Eye Cream with SPF 6, Wild Rose 24 Hour Moisturiser with SPF 6 and Lip Butter in Wild Rose, I was most excited to try the Lip Butter I've heard so many good reviews about this product so I was so excited to try it.

The Milk Proteins 3 in 1 Cleansing, Toning and Eye Makeup Removing Emulsion, I've only used it as a cleanser and toner and think it's handy they combined them together and I really like it, it's been one of the better cleanser and toner I've used.

Evening Primrose Eye Cream with SPF 6, to be honest I never use eye cream, I'm only 18 so I don't think I really need it and when I did try it, I didn't see much of a difference to under my eyes, so there isn't really much to say about it.

Wild Rose 24 Hour Moisturiser with SPF 6, I love using moisturisers, so it was nice to try this one, it really moisturisers and nourishes the skin, I think this product would be better for people with dry skin, my skin is quite normal and just oily on my nose but don't think it would work very well on oily skin and it brightens up your skin.

The Lip Butter in Wild Rose, was my favourite out of all the products and I wasn't disappointed at all it does feel like butter being melted onto your lips, it leaves your lips very soft and smooth, it's very moisturising and glossy and the pigmentation of this shade is great. This shade is a berry colour, it's a build able colour to get the intensity you want, I think it will be great for the summer months instead of wearing lipstick and keeping your lips nourished. I want to try some of the other shades as the lip butters are a huge thumbs up for me.

All the Korres products are Greek and natural, so its good for your skin and lips.

Have you tried any Korres products, what do you think to them, let me know.

Hope you liked the post.

Top 5 Lipstick Picks For Spring

Hello Lovelies, here are my top five lipsticks that I love to wear when it’s spring, they are all affordable and easy to get a hold off.

MUA Shade 7 is a slightly shimmery orangey pink, the shimmer is not that noticeable and was one of my first MUA lipsticks and has been a favourite of mine for a while and it’s only £1 so you can’t go wrong.

Elf Party Pink is a medium pink with a goldy undertone it’s such a beautiful colour, it is moisturising but not too much and is long lasting.

Beauty UK In The Buff is a dark pink, it’s quite bright and is very moisturising it goes on easily and is long lasting and is very pigmented.

Rimmel London Kate Moss Shade 16 this was part of the spring collection last year, it’s a medium coraly pink and is quite bright, it’s very pigmented and long lasting like the rest of the Kate Moss lipsticks.

17 Beehive I love this colour not for just spring but for any season you can wear it with any look, it’s a peachy pinky nude it’s very natural looking and is very moisturising.

Here’s swatches of them all.
As you can see the MUA lipstick and the Elf are very similar but Elf is a bit more pinky.

What’s your favourite lipsticks for spring let me know.

Haul

Hello Lovelies, I haven't done a haul in a while and picked up some bits of all sorts over the last couple weeks so I thought I would show you what I got.

Fashion
I love this top it has a pretty floral pattern and is a burgundy colour and has buttons down the back, it's perfect for both day and night because you can dress it up or down, I think I will just wear it with jeans or leggings, it was from New Look and was £12.99 which I think is a reasonable price.
This was also from New Look and was only £7.99 which is cheap, it's a vest top with a zip on and is black and grey, it's simple and perfect for everyday wear and you can wear with shorts, jeans or leggings.

Beauty
I got an Essie nail polish in Bazooka and is perfect for spring and summer it's a dark orange and was only £1.99 from T J Hughes, I have one NYC Liquid Lipshine already and I really like it, they are a pigmented and long lasting lipgloss similar to the Rimmel Apocalips but not as creamy, I have the shades Rockefeller Red and Midtown Mulberry and they were 99p each from T J Hughes, I have a couple of these Rimmel London Moisture Renew Lipsticks and I really love them, they are really moisturising, pigmented and long lasting and I saw this lipstick in T J Hughes for £1.99 I had to buy it, the shade is Oxford St Fuchsia and these Nail Wraps from Primark for £1, I really wanted to try these I've heard there good and easy to use and I don't always have time to paint my nails.

Jewellery
I got these from Primark, I love cross earrings as you can see, the pearl dangley cross earrings were £1.50 and the set has quite a few earrings that I like and these are £2.50 and I think they are all really cute.
I got this ring, I thought it was so cute it's a little bow and its adjustable if you have thin fingers like me and it was £5 from Miss Selfridge's but I absolutely love it and is my favourite piece of jewellery I got.

Book
I watched the film and I really loved it and so I wanted to read the book and I had a gift card from my birthday so I got The Perks Of Being A Wallflower and it was £7.99, I can't wait to read the book when I have spare time.

If you want me to do a book review after I've read it let me know.

Have you got anything nice recently let me know.

The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Tag

Hello Lovelies, I was tagged by the lovely Sarah a while ago to do this tag but I've only just got around to doing it, I love doing tags so here it is.

I got the Image from Google and then edited it.

Rules:
1. Thank the tagger and link them in the post.
2. State that this tag was created by The Beau Bow
3. Copy and paste the rules.
4. Tag some more beauty bloggers and link them to the post.
5. Title this The Procrastinating Beauty Blogger Post so bloggers know what the post is about.
6. Have fun! :)

1.Name a beauty regime that you rarely do?
My skincare routine, I do it sometimes usually when my skin has a few spots, I really need to have some sort of skincare routine and do it regularly but I don't but I will start doing it.

2. Is washing your makeup brushes something you do regularly?
I wipe them off most of the time I use them but I don't wash them that regularly, I usually do it when they are really dirty but will start doing it more often when I have time because I know it will make my skin and makeup better.

3. How long will you last with chipped nail polish?
I don't paint my nails too often but when they are chipped it doesn't bother me to much I can go a couple weeks with them being chipped, I just take it off when I have a time.

4. How long do you put off buying/replacing a beauty or nail polish product even if you need it? (i.e purchasing a new topcoat, or a new foundation etc.)
If I really need it then I will buy it straight away but if I already have a foundation I will wait till it running low or run out and then I will go buy it but other products I seem to buy them even if I already have enough, that's what blogging does to you it makes you want to buy lots of products.

5. What is your worst beauty habit?
Is not washing my makeup brushes enough and I know I should but I don't but I will start doing it more.

6. Name something non-beauty related that you put off doing all the time?
I hate washing up my family know this all too well, I always try to get out of it by saying I will do other jobs but I still end up doing them, It always ruins my nails and I just hate doing it.

7. When going out somewhere, do you leave getting ready until the last minute or not?
When I'm getting ready for college I don't leave to the last minute but it never takes too long so I could leave it to the last minute and if I'm getting ready to go out shopping or somewhere I take a bit longer maybe a hour so I don't leave it to the last minute but if I'm going out to a restaurant, concert or anywhere else at night it takes about 2-3 hours so I don't leave it to the last minute.

8. Can you commit to spending bans?
I haven't done a spending ban yet but I should be next month but I think I will be able to commit to it, before I was a blogger I used to go ages without buying anything so I'm sure I will be able to do it.

9. How organised is your makeup and nail polish collection?
Not very organised at the minute it's just in my draw it's in sections but I'm wanting to get some storage dividers to make it more organised.

10. What is the longest amount of time you have gone without writing a blog post?
About 2 weeks and that was only because I was on holiday and I didn't have everything to do blog posts and the Internet wasn't the best but I love blogging so I don't go too long without posting.

I tag you all to do it, it's a great little tag and leave me your link when you do the tag I would love to read your answers.

Products I Regret Buying

Hello Lovelies, here's a post on products I regret buying, I only have a few I do my research now to make sure they are a good product before I buy them so most products that I have I love them.

These are only my opinion on products that haven't worked well for me but they might work well for you and I still like other products by the brand just not these ones.

I always like these post's because it always good to know bad products as well as good products.

The 17 starry eyes glitter eyeliner in moon rock, I got this ages ago in a little set when you bought two 17 products, the colour is really nice I just wish it was a good product, the eyeliner is really wet so it smudges easily and it doesn't stay on the eyes for long and the glitter is gritty so it's not nice on the eyes.

Another product by 17 is the hideaway cream concealer in fair, the colour is the right shade for me but it doesn't help cover under eye circles or spots so it doesn't do the job its supposed to do, I still use it with other concealers because it is the perfect shade for me.

If you saw my dainty doll review here, you will have known I didn't like it from the start, I got the lipstick in baby love, the lipstick is really creamy and feels nice on the lips but this is just the wrong shade for me its a baby pink its too pale and makes me look ghostly or like foundation lips.

The color institute eyeshadow quad, I got this in a set a couple of Christmas's ago, the eyeshadows aren't very pigmented and some have chunky glitter, I don't mind shimmer or glitter but when it's chunky I don't like it and its chalky, they are nice colours though.

Natural collections tinted lip balm in lychee twist, I really like the name of it, it's not a lip balm it's a sticky lipgloss with no colour pay off, I am a lipstick and lipgloss girl but I only like lipglosses that aren't sticky and pigmented.

Here's an old post from last year of products I regret buying.

What products do you regret buying I would love to know.
